Biking and Golfing!

June 14, 2015 - No wind today.

Creatures of habit - Coffee at Dog River, starting with Jim and I and then gradually the group gathering over the next hour until everyone is there.  Temira's forecast was for no saleable wind - probably not even kiteable, so no one was in a rush.

Eventually, we wandered across the street to Bettes for more discussion about the day's activities.

Kent, Handre and Ross headed out for a Mountain Bike Ride at Kneabal Springs and 8 Mile.  They were out for most of the day.  We hear that towards the end of the ride, Handre, (who was on his new bike), decided to go hard up the last hill.  He literally left Kent and Ross in the dust.  Of course Handre had to wait by himself in the parking lot until Kent and Ross finally arrived.

Handre on his new bike!  It cost less than Kent's so it must be a great deal.
Kent - Ready to go!
Blaine, Brad, Cam and Cynthia went for a road bike ride to the Rowena Lookout.

Brad - Hangin in!

Later in the day Blaine, Brad, Harold, Rene, Jim, and Al headed out to the Hood River Golf and Country trip for nine holes.  Jim and Brad got a birdie,  and Al won the long drive competition, although we understand that there was a lot of cheating going on.  Sorry - no photos...

I stayed home and repaired a ding on nose of my Nash board, and then went for a walk around the town, the Event Site and the Marina.

Just a nice old car on the side of the road...

Before
After - not perfect - but good enough for me.
As usual, it took a lot of time to get organized for supper, but we finally headed to pFriem's.  We started as a group of six, then 8, and then the others showed up after we were seated.

All in all, it was a nice day.  Tomorrow is looking like more of the same.
